Mediático is delighted to present a new video by Michael Chanan, Professor of Film and Video at Roehampton University, London. The video (which is adapted from Chanan’s magisterial documentary New Cinema of Latin America, made for Channel Four in 1983 and now reissued on DVD) offers a valuable portrait of hugely important and influential Argentine filmmaker Fernando Birri, who has just reached the excellent age of 90.
