- Katherine Farrimond is has been involved with SEQUENCE since 2014. She is a Lecturer in Media and Cultural Studies at the University of Sussex. Her research explores gender and genre in contemporary popular culture with particular focus on the femme fatale, mediated constructions of virginity, and the politics of nostalgia. Her monograph, The Contemporary Femme Fatale was published with Routledge in 2017, and she has published numerous articles and book chapters on representations of girlhood, femininity, sexuality and the uses of the past in popular culture. She is part of the editorial collective for Feminist Theory Journal and co-editor of REFRAME.
- Russell Pearce (co-editor/producer of Sequence since September 2012) teaches Media Studies at the School of Media, Film and Music at the University of Sussex. He is a doctoral candidate in the School and is researching how the adoption of eBooks affects the reading habits of different groups of people. Returning to academia after a career based in the video games industry, his interests are in the Digital Humanities, with a focus on the reception and appropriation of new types of media content being produced by and for an audience that is unhindered by traditional forms of ownership or compensation.
- SEQUENCE was founded by Catherine Grant (founder and co-editor/producer 2012-2020). Author and editor of numerous film studies videos as well as written studies of film authorship, adaptation, post-dictatorship cinema and world cinema, she runs the Film Studies For Free, Filmanalytical and Audiovisualcy websites and, in 2012, guest edited the inaugural issue of online journal Frames on digital forms of film studies.
