{"id":135,"date":"2014-08-15T09:36:30","date_gmt":"2014-08-15T09:36:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/reframe.sussex.ac.uk\/omf\/?page_id=135"},"modified":"2016-09-21T10:30:43","modified_gmt":"2016-09-21T10:30:43","slug":"october-24th-2014","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/reframe.sussex.ac.uk\/omf\/events\/october-24th-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"OCTOBER 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/reframe.sussex.ac.uk\/omf\/about\/about-omf\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Opera and the Media of the Future<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0initiative\u00a0was\u00a0launched at a two-day event held at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/glyndebourne.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Glyndebourne<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0on\u00a0<strong><a title=\"Documentation 24th Oct\" href=\"http:\/\/reframe.sussex.ac.uk\/omf\/events\/october-24th-2014\/documentation-24th-october\/\" target=\"_blank\">24th<\/a><\/strong> and 25th October 2014.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>The event was aimed at both academics and opera\/media professionals. We welcomed participants from a full range of academic and professional backgrounds, including opera adminstrators, educators, composers, media artists, directors, performers, and media theorists and researchers.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The event consisted of a mixture of empirical \/ theoretical research presentations and case studies, with examples of artistic work with new media, including the presentation of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/reframe.sussex.ac.uk\/omf\/web-opera\/\" target=\"_blank\">two mini web operas<\/a>\u00a0commissioned specially for the event.
