Today, <\/em>Medi\u00e1tico presents some embedded video recordings<\/a> of sessions from the\u00a0LA MIRADA DE ICIAR BOLLAIN\u00a0symposium was held — in honour of the\u00a0groundbreaking\u00a0scholar of Spanish cinema\u00a0Isabel Santaolalla<\/a>\u00a0(Professor of Spanish and Film Studies at the University of Roehampton, and author of the book The Cinema of\u00a0Iciar Bollain<\/a>, Machester University Press, 2012) as well as of the important\u00a0Spanish filmmaker and actor\u00a0Bollain<\/a>\u00a0herself, who participated in the event– at the University of St Andrews, St Salvators quadrangle, on May 30, 2014.<\/em><\/p>\n

The symposium was introduced by Bernard Bentley, of the Spanish Department at University of St Andrews, author of A Companion to Spanish Cinema<\/a>\u00a0(Boydell & Brewer Ltd, 2008). The videos are embedded below in the following order:<\/p>\n
