The site offers timely reactions to new media works and current developments as well as analysis of past works, while also reflecting on larger issues in television, film, radio, music, the Internet, print and any other media, always with a Latin American or Latino\/a focus.<\/p>\n<p><em>Medi\u00e1tico<\/em>\u2019s open access ethos allows us to publish and curate original internationally produced research and make it available for free to a global audience with an immediacy rarely afforded by more traditional academic publishing avenues.<\/p>\n<p><em>Medi\u00e1tico<\/em> is published by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sussex.ac.uk\/schools\/media-arts-humanities\/\">School of Media, Arts and Humanities at the University of Sussex<\/a> through <a href=\"http:\/\/reframe.sussex.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">REFRAME<\/a>. The site is co-edited by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sussex.ac.uk\/profiles\/157871\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dolores Tierney<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/reframe.sussex.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">REFRAME<\/a>\u00a0founding editor <a href=\"https:\/\/catherinegrant.org\">Catherine Grant<\/a>, <em>Medi\u00e1tico <\/em>itself\u00a0was founded by Tierney and Grant with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/juanouk\/\">Juan Ramos<\/a>. Content is provided by our editors and by other writers researching Latin American, Latino\/a\/x &amp; Iberian media cultures.<\/p>\n<p>We welcome written contributions of any length (from short blog posts between 500 and 1,000 words, to academic article or book size content).
