{"id":107,"name":"Kate Marrison","url":"","description":"Dr Kate Marrison is a Research Fellow at the Landecker Digital Memory Lab, University of Sussex. Her research focuses on digital memory practice, education and commemoration at the intersection between Holocaust studies and media theory. She currently leads the Sussex Digital Holocaust Education Project within the The Sussex Weidenfeld Institute of Jewish Studies and has recently completed work on the ESRC-funded Co-creating Recommendations for Digital Interventions in Holocaust Memory and Education and HEIF-funded Dealing with Difficult Heritage projects. Dr Marrison was awarded her PhD from the University of Leeds, where she also worked as a Lecturer in Film Studies. Her PhD explored the concept of digital witnessing across case studies including virtual and augmented reality projects, video games and 3-dimensional installations of Holocaust survivor testimonies.
