Poetics and Politics of Documentary is a two and a half day practice-led research symposium exploring the interconnections between art and knowlege as they are expressed in documentary practices, broadly conceived. It will be held at the Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts, University of Sussex, between 2nd and 4th June, 2017.
The CFP is now closed for Poetics and Politics 2017.
Full symposium and screenings programme forthcoming – please check back for updates.
Registration for the symposium is required. An early bird registration discount is available until 15 April. Bookings after this date will be subject to the full symposium rates. One day bookings and concessionary rates are also available. Please note: symposium presenters must register for the full event and are not eligible for single day registration.
A conference dinner will be held on Saturday 3rd June. If you wish to attend, please select the ‘with conference dinner’ option when choosing from the booking options. Please be advised that places are limited.
If you require accommodation for the duration of the conference, we would advise booking this early due to the numbers of visitors to Brighton at this time of year.
Alisa Lebow and Lizzie Thynne.
